JSC "Concern GRANIT" and Tramplin Electronics LLC have confirmed the compatibility of the Quantum Hybrid Base DBMS with the Irtysh family of server processors. This opens up the possibility of joint deployment of the two companies' solutions in projects based on a fully domestic hardware and software stack.
The Quantum Hybrid Base DBMS was deployed on a server platform with Irtysh processors. Specialists verified the system's operation across typical use scenarios, including stress testing and validation of the QSS encryption module, which implements the Grasshopper cryptographic algorithm (GOST 34.12-2018). Support for Grasshopper is becoming particularly relevant: this month, Russia's Ministry of Digital Development proposed making this algorithm mandatory for all 5G-enabled devices, with the requirement set to come into force by 2032.
Regression testing covered 218 tests across data types, indexing mechanisms (B-tree, Hash, GiST, GIN, BRIN), transactions, triggers, stored procedures, partitioning, parallel processing, and replication. All 218 tests passed successfully.
An additional 454 unit tests of native DBMS components were run, covering backup and point-in-time recovery (PITR), event auditing, monitoring, distributed locks, data integrity control, task scheduling, and replication. All 454 tests passed successfully.
Quantum Hybrid Base can also be run in a QEMU emulation environment using the loongarch64 architecture.
"Compatibility with domestic hardware platforms is a practical prerequisite for real-world deployment of the Quantum Hybrid Base DBMS in systems with stringent data protection requirements. This confirms that it is now possible to build a fully Russian stack that does not fall short of foreign counterparts in terms of security, reliability, and performance," said Vladimir Listov, Advisor to the General Director of JSC Concern GRANIT.
The Quantum Hybrid Base DBMS is already in use at organizations where the cost of failure or a data breach is at its highest. Irtysh processors have demonstrated results confirming their readiness for enterprise deployment in such environments. The system is used at the National Settlement Depository — the central ledger of the Russian stock market — as well as at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise GlavNIVTs of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. Confirmed compatibility with Irtysh processors means that large organizations can now build their infrastructure entirely on Russian components, from the processor to the DBMS.
"The Irtysh family of processors was designed for use within fully domestic hardware and software stacks, which is why confirming compatibility with solutions such as the Quantum Hybrid Base DBMS matters to us. This is how we build a verified tandem of Russian hardware and Russian software, ready for operation under real-world loads," said Anatoly Korsakov, CEO of Tramplin Electronics.
Tramplin Electronics emphasizes that the Irtysh server line is a commercial product with stable production and readily available supply chains.
